nQuencer - Best Buds

Best Buds is an alternative firmware for nQuencer designed to be a bridge between your 16n faderbank and the mannequins just friends module.

Connect nQuencer to Just Friends using an i2c cable and nQuencer will trigger the 6 voices of Just Friends when it receives a trigger at the clock input or when you tap the reset button.

Faders

1 to 6 - Pitch of the 6 just friends voices
8 - Transpose pitch of all voices
9 to 14 - Volume of the 6 just friends voices
16 - Attenuate volume of all voices

Settings

You can enter settings in the same way as with the nQuencer firmware - hold down the reset button until it remains lit, change settings with the faders and tap the button to exit.

The settings are the same as the nQuencer firmware but only the following settings are used in the best buds firmware:

3 - Probability of a voice being triggered
4 - Output Range (1,2,3 or 4 octaves)
13 to 16 - Quantizer Settings

Download the firmware and upload it to your nQuencer over USB using the process described in the manual. You can change it back at any time but uploading the standard nQuencer firmware.
